At Academia CRECE, we deeply believe that every person can transform when they find the right tools, the proper guidance, and a safe space to grow.

We were born with a clear mission:

Evelyn Guzmán

Founder and CEO

Evelyn leads with over a decade of experience in personal and community transformation processes. Her approach integrates ontological leadership, coaching, emotional intelligence, and breathwork.

Passionate about human growth and business strategy, she has guided hundreds of people to reconnect with their purpose and transform their potential into conscious action.

Administrative staff

Maritza A. Mateluna Oliva

Administrative Coordination

Maritza brings a unique combination of technical precision and a dedication to service. With experience in administrative management, technical design, and process optimization, she ensures smooth operations and close support for participants and their families.

Her work reflects commitment, organization, and a deep focus on community well-being, contributing to CRECE’s growth with professionalism and compassion.

María del Pilar

Operations Coordinator

María del Pilar stands out for her creative vision and her ability to transform ideas into meaningful experiences. With a background in architecture and extensive experience in design and project management, she brings structure, sensitivity, and a holistic perspective to every CRECE initiative.

Her approach combines attention to detail, organization, and a deep commitment to human well-being. From program planning to the creation of training materials, María del Pilar ensures that every process is clear, harmonious, and geared toward the growth of our community.

A leader committed to financial well-being and business development. Through workshops, mentorship, and educational programs, she promotes financial literacy as a tool for empowerment and stability.

Her work connects economic prosperity with personal purpose, helping individuals and communities build a healthy relationship with money and a conscious vision of success.

Milagros Meléndez

Secretary

A journalist and communicator with over 25 years of experience in media across the United States and Latin America. Her voice has informed and inspired through programs such as La Agenda Radio DC, El Tiempo Latino, and América TV Perú.

Her career combines journalism, teaching, and community service, contributing to the dissemination of messages promoting well-being, education, and civic engagement.

Yahaira Córdova Boyer

Treasurer

Businesswoman, CEO of Tax Seguro, and founder of Globaly Consulting, with extensive experience in finance, taxation, and business development.

Recognized for her leadership, strategic vision, and commitment to the community, she drives projects that promote excellence, formalization, and business empowerment.

Néstor Bravo

Chair of the Community Outreach and Public Relations Committee

A five-time Emmy Award-winning director, producer, and filmmaker, he specializes in storytelling that engages audiences and strengthens brands and causes. He leads communication strategies, public relations, and high-impact audiovisual content. Founder of Bravo Media Corp, his company focuses on human storytelling, innovation, and measurable results.

Brenda Helen Sheingold

Chair of the General Committee on Strategy and Governance

An academic and researcher with extensive experience in leadership, educational innovation, and health management. She holds a PhD in Public Policy and Nursing, is a Division Director at George Mason University, and has been recognized for her contributions to sustainability in health education.

She brings to CRECE her strategic vision, academic rigor, and commitment to continuous improvement in the training of conscious leaders.

Jonathan Acosta

Chairman of the Events and Visibility Committee

An internationally renowned singer-songwriter and cultural manager, he was the first Venezuelan to sing the U.S. national anthem at an NBA game. He has been nominated for an Emmy Award and has received numerous accolades, including Latin Awards and World Entertainment Awards.

Through his program “Butaca Hispana,” he promotes culture, art, and integration as vehicles for social awareness and transformation.

Deni L. Taveras

Chair of the Fundraising and Grants Committee

State legislator in Maryland and former Prince George’s County councilwoman, with experience in public policy, sustainability, and community development.

A graduate of Princeton University, she combines political leadership, institutional management, and a social focus to drive impactful initiatives and funding programs that strengthen diverse communities.

Lisa Pellegrino

Member of the Board with general functions

An educator with over 20 years of experience in assessment, academic leadership, and educational equity.

As Director of Assessment at Arlington Public Schools, she has implemented innovations that improve learning measurement and pedagogical decision-making.

Trilingual and an advocate for inclusion, she contributes her strategic vision to CRECE for building fairer and more effective educational environments.
